Literacy Volunteers of Washington County will hold its August Book Circle and Swap
with a multimedia presentation at the WHYC.

"If You’re Ever in the Amazon …"

On Monday, August 22 at 6:00 pm, Literacy Volunteers of Washington County will host a multimedia presentation at the Watch Hill Yacht Club, featuring Bob and Ami Green and their sailing adventures on the Amazon River. This one-hour event will be a lively opportunity to share a love of the sea and the joy of boating.

After a three-year cruise to the Mediterranean and Middle East, Bob and Ami Green sailed home via the coffee-colored waters of the Amazon River and witnessed a glorious blend of exotic sights, music, and sounds.

There will be a cash bar (credit cards only) and light hors d'oeuvres, along with time for socializing and sharing your favorite maritime books and tales. Bring a book to leave and take a book home! This event is being held as a thank-you to our donors and friends over the years, and admission is free.
